“Works, but is expensive an quirky”

Pros: It has a lot of features. There are a lot of ways to do a task so people can typically figure it out. They are big so they offer decent support.

Cons: SO expensive and the price increases by around 5% every year. Multiple ways to do something is confusing for some staff. They are so big that getting an idea implemented takes a long time, if it happens. Being on the cloud is good but also causes road blocks like needing their help for something as small as a printer being set up.

“Saved us countless man hours as our business has grown”

Pros: Renterra just makes everything so much easier. Getting quotes out, having customers e-sign, keeping us from double booking stuff, dispatch, all of it. Super easy to use and feels modern. I’m on the road a ton so I probably use it on my phone half the time, which is honestly one of my favorite parts. And the support has been awesome.

Cons: Being able to keep up with all the awesome new features that keep coming out.

Pros: Been with POR since 2012 so we know the software very well. We don't have much to compare it to because of that.

Cons: 2 main reasons I'm looking for new software. 1. The platform seems dated.. we are on the server based Expert system 2. It seems most of the time we have a issue that we need help resolving that we know more about the software than the tech that is helping us.

Pros: I used Point of Rental for about 20 years and most everything about worked great for us. Its user friendly, reports are good and accessible, missed rentals are quick and easy to enter.

Cons: Customer service started to go downhill rapidly; we tried to upgrade to a couple new features, which are very expensive and could never get them up and running so we finally had to switch to another software company.

    “Simply the best!”

Pros: The software works great, the best part is the people behind it. We love having a solid support team. Software pricing is upfront and honest, there is no "dog and pony show" to obtain pricing. The E-Com side of the platform is second to none, customers love our website, and how easy it is to check rates or even place orders online!

Cons: I honestly have no complaints, we truly have found "The one!"

    “Cutting edge technology!”

Pros: Finds prospective customers and upcoming jobsites to call on.

Cons: The smaller localities don't post as much viewable data for the permitting side.

    “3 years using Alert”

Pros: Alert does most everything you would need a software to do. Inventory management, customer and jobsite information, and they hold an annual users group conference for training and to get input on what changes should be made.

Cons: Reports are difficult to find, and some have to be made by alert. Missed rentals are not easy to enter, there is a lot of back and forth between screens and you will wear out the enter button quickly.

“Been With Alert for more than 30 years”

Pros: We have been very long-standing clients of the Alert Platform. The most outstanding aspect of the organization is the consistent access to and communication with the platform owners and developers. This has always been beneficial in ongoing operations and development. There is also the yearly users group where further development and needs are discussed and prioritized.

Cons: Somewhat lacking in development and "modernization," ie AI integration.

“This is the Nerve Center for our operation”

Pros: The mobile functionality is huge for us, we use our system on mobile as much or more than on a computer. It is great to have the Digital Marketing service, it seems to be doing well. We are very excited about the Voip Integration that they just launched. This is HUGE!

Cons: I don't have many cons. Some may want more accounting capability, but I integrate with QB without issues.

Pros: Strong rental management functionality, excellent asset tracking and visibility, scales well across multiple locations, mobile app adoption is relatively easy, continual development and improvements, QuickBooks Online integration, improved process control, responsive product evolution,

Cons: Can get 'click heavy' at time, some workflows rigidity, success depends on process adoption, significant training required,
