Implementation PM
The natural extension of Software Selection · 4 phases · 8–10 weeks single, 12–16 weeks multi-location
Selection ends with a signed contract. That's when most implementations go off the rails: the vendor manages the project to their workflow, the operator's team is left learning the software through trial and error, and the platform that was bought to fix the problem becomes a new problem of its own.
Implementation PM is operator-side project management. We sit on your side of the table, manage the vendor relationship, run the project plan, train the team on the workflows that actually match your operations, and exit with documentation written.
Why this is a sub-service
Implementation PM is the close from Software Selection Advisory. Selection picks the platform; PM makes sure it actually goes live. Two phases of the same operator decision.
The four phases
- 1
Setup
Weeks 1–2Project plan, stakeholders, kickoff. Vendor relationships established. Data extracted from the legacy system; cleaning rules drafted.
- 2
Configuration
Weeks 3–6Rate cards, customer accounts, fleet records, accounting integrations, user permissions, workflows. Built against your operations, not the vendor’s defaults. Configuration review with your team weekly.
- 3
Go-live
Weeks 7–8Cutover plan executed. Parallel running for a defined window. Counter staff trained on the actual workflows they’ll use, not the vendor training video. Go-live war-room for the first business week.
- 4
Stabilisation
Weeks 9–12Daily check-ins for the first two weeks post go-live. Issue triage with the vendor. Workflow tweaks based on real usage. Hand-off documentation written by the time we exit.
Pricing
Single location
Contact for scope· 8–10 weeks
Standard four-phase engagement for a single-location operator. Quoted on scope — fleet complexity, data migration, and integration depth vary enough that a flat published price would mislead.
Multi-location
Contact for scope· 12–16 weeks
Multi-location rollout with phased go-live by location. Includes inventory transfer logic, multi-location KPI configuration, and per-location training. Always quoted on scope.
Market comparison: a Salesforce-style implementation partner runs $30,000–60,000 for equivalent scope. RentalWise lands materially lower because the methodology is rental-specific — fewer hours wasted on framework discovery.
The close
“The system is live. Now the question is whether your team actually runs on it consistently. That's what The RentalWise System handles.”
Implementation PM ends at stabilisation. From there, The System is what holds the standard so the team keeps using the platform the way you bought it.
